Senate Bill 1005, passed by the 81st Texas Legislature, amends Texas
Occupations Code, Chapter 1703, §§1703.003, 1703.051, 1703.154,
1703-055, 1703.202, 1703.203, 1703.205-1703.208, 1703.252,
1703.254, 1703.255, 1703.301, 1703.306, 1703.351, 1703.353,
1703.354, 1703.355, and 1703.401; adds §§1703.058, 1703.307, and
1703.356; and repeals §§1703.005, 1703.052, 1703.053, 1703.056,
1703.057. 1703.101-1703.106, 1703.151-1703.153, 1703.204, 1703.253,
and 1703.352 relating to the regulation of polygraph examiners by the
Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) and the abolition
of the Polygraph Examiners Board.
Senate Bill 1005 and the changes to Chapter 1703 are effective May 27,
2009. The Polygraph Examiners Board continues to exist until January 1,
2010 for the purpose of transferring functions to TDLR.
